Embark on an extraordinary journey through Tanzania, crafted for those in search of true adventure, a deep connection with nature, and an authentic cultural experience. From the untamed wilderness of Saadani National Park to the vibrant history of Dar es Salaam, and the striking salt flats, every moment is rich with discovery. Live alongside the Maasai tribe, then unwind on the pristine shores of the Indian Ocean. This itinerary offers the perfect balance of excitement, cultural immersion, and relaxation.

Suggested Itinerary

Arrival and Overnight Stay

You’ll find me at the airport upon your arrival, where we’ll finally meet in person and begin this wonderful adventure together.

HISTORY

We will visit the very first village from which the modern metropolis of Dar es Salaam grew over the years, a place rich in history and tradition. We’ll discover fascinating, lesser-known spots where the past and present intertwine in a unique experience.

safari

We will explore Saadani National Park on a stunning 3-day safari, immersing ourselves in breathtaking landscapes and encountering four of the renowned “Big Five” of the savannah.

Maasai tribal village

We will spend 2 days at a Maasai village, immersing ourselves in their culture, sharing meals with them, and participating in their daily activities, while also visiting nearby Swahili villages.

BEACH

We will visit a forest in the heart of Tanzania and a coffee plantation, where we will learn how to harvest the beans and experience all the stages of its preparation. We will also have the opportunity to admire stunning waterfalls with breathtaking scenery.

I will take you to the airport in Dar es Salaam to go back home, hoping you will take with you this amazing MasaiAdventure

Travel Details

Day 1 Arrive / HISTORY

I will wait for you at the airport in Dar Es Salaam to welcome you. We will sleep in Dar es Salaam to aand the second day we will start visiting the very first village from which the modern metropolis of Dar es Salaam grew over the years, a place rich in history and tradition. Then we will head the Saadani National Park.

Day 2/4 Safari

Upon your arrival at Dar Es Salaam airport, after collecting your luggage, I will be there to welcome you, ready to head directly to Saadani National Park, the only national park that overlooks the Indian Ocean.

Saadani Park is classified as a lion conservation unit, and its beaches are an important nesting site for the endangered green sea turtles.

In this park, you will find 4 of the famous “Big Five”, with only the rhinoceros missing.

Accommodation will be in luxurious tents, designed with elegance and attention to detail, where you can relax and enjoy life in the savannah during the safari.

Days 4/6 Maasai Tribe

We will spend these days discovering the Maasai people, their traditions, and their way of life, savoring their dishes, accompanying the cows to pasture in the morning, and welcoming them back in the evening, milking them together with the women. We will visit their traditional homes and learn how they prepare their food. We will go to the local market and enjoy grilled meat in the Maasai style, strolling through the local stalls, admiring the lifestyle and coexistence of different tribes. Accommodation will be in a house where I also live.

Days 7/8 beach

We will have the opportunity to admire one of the most lush areas of Tanzania, inhabited by a tribe that specializes in farming, and they will guide us through some experiences over these two days, such as visiting the coffee plantation. In addition to exploring the village, we will admire the waterfalls, climb to its highest point at 1,880 meters above sea level, and visit the forest.

Days 9/10 MARKET and Return

We will return to Dar es Salaam and visit some truly distinctive local markets. We will experience a city that is little known to tourists but will surely captivate you, as we prepare for the journey back home.
