I’m Erika and I love Tanzania. I organize trips and life experiences in Tanzania, to discover the Maasai tribe and local life. I will design your trip on your needs and guide you through this amazing life experience.
Enjoy the real Africa with me!
Discover Masaiadventure’s travel packages and experience the real Africa with a local-style trip including exciting safaris, Maasai tribes and other fascinating cultures, volunteer experiences and much more.
A nomadic people of East Africa, the Maasai live in harmony with nature, raise livestock and retain a very strong cultural identity. Experiencing the Maasai village and treasuring the moments of their daily life will be one of the many exciting moments of your experience.
To live and discover Tanzania’s biodiversity, I organise trips to all national parks but Selous Park is my favourite, which I consider the beating heart of Africa. Here, nature and animals live far away from the frenzied tourism of the better known parks and it is very easy to discover unique plants and meet legendary animals, including the “Big five”.
There are places, people and experiences that give indescribable emotions and that is why I build a unique experience and an all-round immersion in local life into my travels. The smiles of the Maasai people and the wonder at every sunset experienced will be the most precious memories of your trip.
Paradise beaches, pristine coral reefs and wild forests make this island a must-see destination. I can guide you to visit Stone Town and its markets, discover Nungwi, Kendwa, Kiwengwa, swimming in the coral reefs of Mnemba, walking in the mangrove forest, Jozani forest, spice tours and much more.
My name is Erika and as a child I always saw Africa as a special and unique land, a kind of dream that has now become my everyday life. A trip to Zanzibar in 2020 was the occasion to discover incredible places and people who made me feel free as never before.
It was the most incredible experience we have ever had, thanks to the very sweet Erika, we met beautiful people and lived with them for almost 3 weeks. Our children had the chance to learn new things that they normally wouldn’t have. Thank you so much Erika for the great opportunity you gave us and thank you to all those Maasai people who opened the door for us. Asante.
My husband, my 10-year-old daughter and I spent about three very intense days with Erika in Elerai. Our experience with the Maasai village thrilled us: the voices and laughter of the children still resound, the kindness of the men and the curiosity and gentleness in the eyes of the young women shine through. A proud, united people with a great sense of community and sharing. All these things I found in Erika, a very generous and passionate woman whom I will never cease to thank for giving us the opportunity to open up to this world that gave us strong emotions. Costanza fitted into the community with the simplicity of the children who welcomed her and made her feel like one of them in no time. It was wonderful going to school, sharing food with them, dressing like them and even trying to dance like them. Everyone gave us joy. It was wonderful to rediscover the value of kindness and solidarity that is so lacking in our part of the world. Asante sana dear Erika, I hope we will meet again.
I waited a while to write this review, to see what I had left of the experience… practically everything! Lovely places, wonderful people but above all endless peace and a relaxing and rejuvenating pace of life… and all without any worries thanks to the excellent organisation. Erika was wonderful: she welcomed me on the first day and accompanied me through everything. I felt safe at all times! If you really want to experience the savannah, Masai Adventure is for you. To say that you will experience the daily life of the Masai in a Masai village is an understatement, and the feeling of peace and well-being you get from living in their habitat and sharing their daily life is indescribable. Beware, however, that this is not a holiday with all the comforts of a holiday village… but it’s A LOT!
P.S. se riuscite raggiungete Elerai in corriera, è un’esperienza particolare ma che merita di essere vissuta come parte del viaggio!
We discovered Erika on Instagram and from the very first phone calls she gave us confidence and great love for this country. The experience with her and the Maasai was crazy and authentic. Forget about tourism and the Maasai villages the agencies take you to. THIS is the real TANZANIA and the real Maasai people. The village welcomed us, the families hosted us in the boma, we ate with them, they showed us their homes, made us wear traditional clothes. None of the activities proposed to you are planned or part of a package, everything follows the will and availability of the family that hosts you in the boma. We discovered the village, the church, the school and the small businesses. Played football (the Maasai love it), after grazing the herd with them. Lived the slow life of the Maasai. Truly an experience that I will carry in my heart and tell everyone about! ASHE ELERAI, ASHE ERIKA!
P.S. if you can make it to Elerai by bus, it is a special experience but one that deserves to be experienced as part of the journey!
Being a guest of Erika’s in Elerai is certainly an unforgettable experience. Her genuineness allows one to come into contact and experience everyday life together with a community totally different from one’s own. A journey to be made with an open mind and heart, with respect and conscience, which will leave a mark on those who decide to go.
I “met” Erika on Instagram and spent 10 wonderful days with her in the middle of the savannah, in a village without any tourists around: just me, her and the Maasai. I am thrilled! I had the opportunity to discover the real life of this incredible tribe, to learn about their traditions and to meet people I will always carry in my heart. Erika’s attention, care and sweetness were the icing on the cake for me. I really recommend anyone to experience the Maasai with Erika, with one caveat though: only go if you are willing to leave a little piece of your heart in Tanzania 🤍
I believe that when things go so well that they exceed expectations, it is difficult to write anything down.
The Maasai experience with Erica was the best experience of my life.
Real, non-touristic and very, very profound.
Definitely not an experience for everyone and with its difficulties, but I think that is also what made it even more special. Asante Sana Erika and I hope we will see each other again 🇹🇿❤️
