Travelling With MasaiAdventure

Group trips to Tanzania and Zanzibar
Safaris, tribes, authentic villages, and crystal-clear sea
Unforgettable adventures

What makes our group trips to Tanzania so special?

It’s not easy to explain in just a few lines, but what truly excites me and makes me happy and proud is that our guests always feel at home, as if we had known each other forever, and often a beautiful friendship develops that lasts over time.
Our trips, both individual and group, are born from the desire to put people at the center: their value, their stories, and the emotions that intertwine along the way.

Why travel with MasaiAdventure?

I love authenticity, genuine and direct contact with people and local life, respect for nature, traditions, and the sense of adventure that comes from truly immersing yourself in a world different from our own. I’ve always been moved when people tell me, “Your eyes sparkle when you talk about Tanzania”, and I wanted to share this great passion of mine with family, friends, and guests. I wanted to create journeys that break the mold of typical organized tours, and from this feeling, MasaiAdventure was born.  When I met Jakobo while looking for a good safari guide for one friend of mine, I realized he was the right person with whom I could share my passion for this project. And so it was.

Traveling with us, you will feel at home—free to lose yourself and rediscover yourself in local traditions.

But be prepared: you will never return home the same way. Traveling with us transforms the soul, leaving you with memories and emotions that will stay with you forever.

      WITH US YOU WILL LIVE

  • A journey that makes a difference
The key word is ECO-SUSTAINABILITY. Not just a slogan, but a real commitment.
Each trip supports people and local projects—schools, initiatives for public health, and communities that preserve precious traditions. You will have the opportunity to visit them, meet those who work there every day, and experience firsthand the change we can create together.
  • Encounters that stay in your heart
Imagine watching the women who grow and harvest the vegetables we will buy for our meals, or the girl making a sweet treat along the road, which we’ll stop to taste on our way home from the safari. Authentic moments, full of dignity and beauty, that reveal the soul of a people. You will experience real-life encounters that genuinely support the community.

  • Small groups, big emotions
We travel with small groups—eight to ten people at most—because I want each of you to have an authentic and personal connection with the local people, truly savoring the experience of meeting them, hearing their stories, enjoying their smiles, and personally embracing the beauty of genuine encounters.
  • A tailor-made journey, even in a group
Even within the group, there will always be space for what you desire: a moment just for yourself, an experience you’ve always wanted to try, an emotion to live freely, and an opportunity to share a new experience with others. Because every journey is unique, just like the person taking it.

SAFARI

With us, you won’t just experience a game drive, but an authentic immersion in the wildest nature. You will be guided by those who live this land, know it in every breath, and respect it as a Home.

Experiencing Africa is a dream that lives in the hearts of many: being enveloped by the vastness of the savannah, listening to the vibrant silence of the horizon, marveling at lions resting after a hunt, or at majestic elephants and graceful giraffes moving slowly at sunset.

And this is how, step by step, Africa stops being a distant dream and becomes an emotion that stays with you forever.

At the end of the text, you’ll find the parks that will captivate you—so extraordinary that choosing between them will be impossible.  ***

AUTHENTIC VILLAGES

Traveling with us in Tanzania doesn’t mean following pre-written itineraries or stopping at the usual tourist spots. It means immersing yourself in real life, in authentic villages, where every encounter tells a story.

We will walk among the houses, while a woman cooks mandazi and a child chases a hen and her chicks. We will stop to chat with the locals, listening to their memories, traditions, and experiences from a life full of daily adventures. We might visit the market, taking in the colors and scents of fresh fruit and just-harvested vegetables, buying something to enjoy immediately, savoring a freshly picked coconut, and quenching our thirst with its water as the sun warms the savannah.

We may be lucky enough to witness traditional ceremonies, experiencing moments of celebration and rituals that reveal the deep soul of these communities.

There is nothing staged here—no scripts, no schedules to follow. Everything is real life. Every step is a discovery, every smile a bridge between different worlds, every experience leaving a mark within you.

Traveling this way is a gift that goes beyond photographs: it is a full immersion into a living, surprising culture that touches your heart and changes you forever.

ZANZIBAR

This archipelago is the ultimate tropical paradise, and its most visited island, Unguja, has an utterly irresistible charm.

We will guide you in choosing where to stay—there are more touristy areas and some that are a bit quieter, places where the breath of the sea is most visible, tides shape the landscape, and beaches reveal their wild beauty.

The capital, Stone Town, is a labyrinth of narrow streets, carved doorways, and spice-scented markets. Among ancient facades, impromptu musicians, and sunsets over the sea, every corner tells centuries of cultures and stories. Walking here means immersing yourself in the vibrant, authentic soul of Zanzibar.

We will take you on unforgettable excursions: snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters of Mnemba Atoll, fascinating visits to Prison Island and Nakupenda, fragrant spice tours, walks through Jozani Forest and the magical mangroves—experiencing every corner of Zanzibar with all your senses.

*** PARKS  that will captivate you — so extraordinary that choosing between them will be impossible.

Ngorongoro: Entering the crater is like stepping into another world. Also called the “Garden of Eden” or the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” it covers an area of 265 km² with a diameter of 16 km. A unique spectacle for its landscape and the variety and abundance of animals: lions, cheetahs, wildebeests, gazelles, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos. The crater rim sits at about 2,200–2,300 meters above sea level.

Tarangire: Among colossal baobabs and large elephant families, this park has an almost mystical aura. It stretches over 2,589 km² at an altitude of around 1,100 meters. Created to protect the elephants that gather along the riverbanks during the dry season, the park offers enchanting scenery with its rolling green hills. Here, time seems to slow down, sounds become deeper, and you feel part of something authentic and primordial.

Serengeti: In Swahili, it means “endless plain.” It is Tanzania’s most famous park, covering about 14,700 km², with altitudes ranging from 950 to 1,850 meters above sea level. If you visit at the right time, you can witness the Great Migration: millions of hooves shaking the earth, dust rising to the sky, predators on the hunt. It’s a spectacle that makes you feel tiny in the face of nature’s wild power.

Manyara: In the Maa language of the Maasai, it has two meanings: “Emanyara,” a plant used for fences, and “Olmanyara,” meaning village. This park is located between the rift of the Great Rift Valley and the shores of Lake Manyara, covering about 320 km².

Lake Natron: One of the most surreal places in Tanzania: a desert of red water and salt that seems from another planet. Its alkaline waters, both fascinating and harsh, become the perfect refuge for thousands of flamingos, which find here one of the few safe places to nest. In the background, the Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano dominates the landscape, adding to the mystical atmosphere. Visiting Natron is like stepping into a primordial dream, where nature shows its wildest and most extraordinary face.

Mkomazi: A still-wild corner of Tanzania, where the silence of the savannah meets bluish mountains on the horizon. Here you can spot rhinos, graceful giraffes, and elephants moving slowly among sun-gilded acacias. It’s an authentic, off-the-beaten-path park that gives the rare feeling of having all of Africa to yourself—a place that touches your heart with its calm, its light, and its pristine beauty.

Saadani: The only park in Tanzania that overlooks the Indian Ocean. Here, elephants, lions, and zebras move among palm trees and golden beaches, while the wind carries the scents of the sea and adventure. A rare, intimate, and wild place that blends the most authentic Africa with the magic of the coast.

Nyerere (formerly Selous): The largest reserve in Africa, covering about 55,000 km². Founded in 1905 as a hunting reserve and later converted into a national park, it is still largely unexplored. It is crossed by the Rufiji River and many of its tributaries, making it ideal for boat excursions as well as photographic safaris with open vehicles. I love this park: it has the power to give me a deep sense of serenity, as if nature were embracing me, while at the same time igniting that thrill of adventure that only truly special places can provide.

Mikumi: Mikumi National Park is one of Tanzania’s most accessible gems: vast golden plains, towering baobabs, and rich wildlife reminiscent of the Serengeti, but without the crowds. Here you can experience thrilling, up-close safaris with elephants, giraffes, lions, and large herds of zebras and wildebeests, often in complete tranquility. It’s the perfect park if you seek authentic nature, endless landscapes, and an intense safari experience even in a short time.

Ruaha: Africa in its wildest form: endless stretches of savannah dotted with baobabs, rivers teeming with life, and herds of elephants crossing the landscape at sunset. Here, time slows down, and every encounter with wildlife becomes a unique, intense, and unforgettable moment.

Udzungwa: Little known, it is a hidden treasure among lush mountains and forests covering about 2,000 km². Waterfalls, crystal-clear rivers, and trails immersed in pristine nature lead you on an authentic adventure, where every step reveals the secret charm of Tanzania’s wildest and most mysterious landscapes.
