Who I am

in africa like

my first date

I have always seen Africa as a special and interesting continent but never set foot there until January 2020. On that occasion I undertook an organised trip that allowed me to discover wonderful places but always in a distanced way in approaching the culture and the local people.

a sense of

freedom

During my holiday I was always shy so making friends with a few locals was almost unthinkable for me, until one afternoon on the beach that changed my life. There was a group of local guys dancing some choreographies and they got me involved, allowing me to feel like never before: free. I was free to dance, free to live in the moment and free to enjoy life.

Another trip as

a volunteer

Once the journey was over, I came back to Italy with many new insights, many new Maasai friends and the desire to go back to those wonderful places. During the Covid pandemic, I had the opportunity to get to know the association ASANTE ODV and thanks to them I had the chance to reconnect with Africa, returning to Tanzania in November 2021 to carry out activities for the association.

To this day, I continue to support many solidarity projects thanks to the help of all the wonderful people who follow me, whom I will never stop thanking for their economic and moral support.

travel designer

my new job

When I got back to Italy, my friends were again enthusiastic and in love with the stories of my travels and the daily life of the Maasai tribes I had met, so much so that they encouraged me to organise group trips to Tanzania: this was the moment when my loved ones had already seen in me my profession as a travel designer.

a new life

This idea became increasingly clear in my mind, so I left my job in Italy and moved to Tanzania with a waste-management rehabilitation project and the desire to develop ECO-SOLIDARITY and CULTURAL TOURISM, discovering Tanzania, the Maasai, and other local tribes.

I was then fortunate to meet JAKOBO, a Maasai chief and experienced safari guide. From there, a collaboration was born that over time evolved into a close-knit and well-coordinated team, offering wonderful itineraries that we are deeply proud of.

volunteer projects

When I arrived in Tanzania, in the first Maasai village where I lived (Elerai near Kiberashi), the construction of a building that was supposed to be a dispensary had been started many years before, but never completed. So I worked hard in contact with the local authorities and organised fundraising in Italy to complete the building and make the dispensary operational, buying medical equipment and furniture.

I helped build the kitchen at the primary school in the village of Elerai, bought medical supplies and furniture for the dispensary in Mabalanga, near Handeni and built toilets at the dispensary in Lengusero, also near Handeni.

In Elerai, I bought plastic collection bins for the whole village, built a collection point for plastic that is recovered by a company in Dar es Salaam to be recycled and did environmental education at school.

Also through fundraising via my Instagram account and contacts, I bought desks for the children at Mabalanga English Medium School.

You will feel at home and never want to leave
